_Cloud Metabolism is a work-in-progress project that investigates the transformation of matter and natural resources into code, image, and computational time. Through the observation and collection of data in local environments, the work develops a chain of transcodifications in which material records are converted into data, data into geometries and images, and these into navigable digital landscapes. The installation consists of a looped video and a water sculpture result from a transcodification chain. A dialogue is established between the two elements, between digital translation and physical presence. The piece proposes a slowed-down reading of data, distancing it from the logic of the cloud and the constant circulation of information in order to open up a more contemplative space of exploration._
